Full rebuilt small spline 9 inch with traction lock runs around 650-700
Spool is cheaper but not what I need for a garage restoration
Worst case I will buy one I have one open and one with a fried traction lock

BTW just sold a set of like new door panels from my parts car for $500
Who would think 1970 Montego MX parts would be valuable?

Is that a good price for the rear end?

I think that's pretty close to near new price. Also depends which Strange iron case it is. They have a standard iron (cheap basically stock) and a nodular iron (much better). The Moser axles can be bought for @ $350-400. GM metric brakes are cheap (single piston stock caliper). So not a spectacular deal

When the owner of the dealership comes back and says he needs a trophy built out of old car parts to pass around the sales team....

Then he comes back again today asking if we can build another... We can’t fix cars, but I sure can build a damn fine trophy! :):

One has to have some cool outdated/broken/worn out parts on hand.

    Impressive.

They blasted up real nice. How did you lock them level..??
Felt odd blasting pistons.... 440 Chrysler . Drilled a couple holes on the bottom side of the piston, tapped it for a 1/4-20 set screw, ground the set screw to a point and tightened it up against the wrist pin. They do not move. Was going to just drill into the pin and run a roll pin through it, wrist pins are hard. Very hard. :):

    Good thinking.
