Race truck packed tight in the garage for its first repairs…. Gotta rig up some type of exhaust because someone stole the cat before I bought it. Like to keep this as cheap as possible.

Rolling around underneath, it’s not that bad! A couple tiny holes in the floors to plug up. Frame is solid. Just a lot of little junkyard items to source.

But exhaust first so I can actually hear all the noises..

Race truck exhaust. Trip to autozone tonight to see what bits I could come up with. Needed to go from 1 3/4 to 2 1/4. Found the bits to make that happen. Everything taking shape, just gotta find a muffler tomorrow and then fit it in somewhere along the stretch.

The universe is begging you to put a stack on that thing. Look at where the pipe fell out lengthwise, one 90 going straight up. Boom perfect stack. Probably double the value of the truck.

Good lookin' ride, the rears are a little wide for my liking though. I prefer to keep all the rubber inside the lines of the car but I wouldn't turn it down if offered to me! :rockwoot:
I would too, but these wheels have been on this car since the 70’s! All we did was update the rubber. Air shocks in the rear complete the look, 90/10 shocks up front. Set up just like 1970.

I spent some money this week. Not in the C10 (sorry guys). Got a partial sponsorship for the Rio for GRid Life and One Lap. 25% off parts and free shipping to run their logo. Company out of SoCal that makes Korean car things. Those are gonna take an extra week because they are at SEMA this week. Axle back, rear bar, mounts and shifter bushings from them.

Ordered sone white 5-spokes for it in 7.5” width for the 205’s. Half of those made it. Fed ex picked up 2 boxes from the same place going to the same place and sent one to canton Ohio.

With winter here I’m taking off the coilovers and reinstall the factory suspension with a new pair of front struts since one literally collapsed when I pulled the top nut. New tie rods to make alignments a little easier. Friggin rust.

C10 will get some Fel-pro umbrella seals to see if that helps with the digging out of the right bank here this winter and a compression check.
