    I found a picture of his truck but no licence plate number yet.
    Shouldn't the police be able to find the number knowing who's the owner?

    You have to cross check it with BMV records. AND that's assuming the car is in his name, and not his wife's or someone else.

    The car is in his name.My gf will go to his house ASAP to find out the licence plate, he left his wallet at home so I imagine the registration is in it.

    I don't k now why his registration would be in his wallet... It should stay in your glove box.
