I had the last post in the old thread too. That's even more weird. Here's a repost...

I think I'm starting to get the motorcycle bug again. I want something simple, cheap, and comfortable. I'm thinking something like this:
1983 Silverwing 650cc new battery. I really like those old Honda transverse v-twins. They are nearly bullet proof.

There's a lot of inconsiderate people on the road now days. There were a few when I was riding 35 yrs.ago, but not like now! Be careful!

Supr, have you considered a Royal Enfield?

I've never owned a motorcycle, I've been considering a Royal Enfield for my first. They're pretty cheap for a new bike and I love the look of the Military.

That's one of the big reasons I sold my last bike. When I was riding it, it just felt like something I shouldn't be doing. Any bike I bought now would be for almost 100% recreational use during non rush hours.

I like that style a lot too. However, if I bought a bike that my wife could not ride with me in relative comfort as well, I'd be in big trouble. Can you get a sidecar with that?

I don't know if they do offer a sidecar for the new Enfields or not, it would be great if they did!

They have similarly styled other "Bullet" model variants that have more of a saddle on them for a passenger. They're all around $5-6k for a new bike, not bad at all compared to some out there.
