She stated a few years back she thought the Supreme Court "got it wrong" on the Heller decision. Well, what exactly was it that they got wrong? Scalia himself said, in the decision, that the Second Amendment does not grant an absolute right. He said the government can place restrictions on it. So - if the gun controllers really believe guns should be legal - just controlled - then in principle, what is their real disagreement with Heller? It's just a matter of where you draw the line. And Heller specifically declined to draw that line, leaving that for a future Court. So what's the beef with this decision? Why the gnashing of teeth from people like Hillary, David Souter, and countless others?
Well, of course, we know precisely what Hillary meant: she is a lawyer, she understands court decisions and the limits they place, and she had a beef with the fact Heller found the 2A to be an "individual" civil right. She thinks it's a privilege, rooted in membership in some inscrutable militia organization to be defined later, not an individual right deriving from the right of self-defense.
And if that interpretation prevailed / prevails, it leaves this matter open to whatever the mood of the times may deem appropriate.
So yes, they want your guns. There is no other reasonable explanation for when someone says Heller "got it wrong." You cannot say you only disagree with the location of where Heller drew the line. Because Heller did not draw any line, beyond saying the right is an individual one. If you think the Supreme Court "got it wrong" on Heller, then you do not believe there is a Constitutionally-protected right to own a firearm, and you're saying a person deprived of said possession by legislative statute ought have no recourse before the courts for gaining it back.
This is exactly how Conservatives behave towards Abortion. And the libs are mad as hell about it. They know exactly what it means. Because they are trying to dismantle gun rights by the same types of techniques, despite the existence of a Supreme Court decision which gives direction to the contrary. If they really think we should believe there's no threat to gun rights, then they need to shut the hell up about abortion, because the danger there is equally "non-existent."

Based on the specific criteria outlined in the New Zealand ban, Sanders is calling for a ban on essentially every firearm in the United States. The functional definition of "assault rifle" in this case includes nearly all firearms in regular, legal and proper use by millions of Americans. New Zealand doen't have a Second Amendment.
