Keep a bill of sale, fella I worked with out west spent a small fortune defending himself - pistol he sold legally was resold a couple times and then used by a minor in a multiple homicide. The law connected him to the minor directly as he didn’t make a record of the sale. Left an impact on me, and I only consign with dealers, or if I do a private party I’ll require a bill of sale.
