I use my own handloads with 125 gr. XTP HP and 17.8 gr. charge of H110. If you do not reload I suggest that you get a 125 gr. HP load. I believe careful load selection is important to the 357 magnum on deer.

I do reload and have a lot of H110. I will try to find some XTP HP and work on some loads.

I will be using Bear tooth 185 gr wfngc cast bullets over some Lilgun. Shooting right at 1700 fps it should do just fine. Also have some 180 wfngc . My buddy's 7 yo son dropped two deer in their tracks just a couple minutes apart with some 158 jhp but he didn't recall the brand as he has had them for years. Both of use are using Marlin 1894's. A .357 will do the job on whitetails no matter what some non believers say.
Also the 158xtpfn would be good. I don't care for the lighter bullets. They will probably work fine but that's just me.

Can you tell me what ammo you use for deer?

Rifle or pistol? Xtp 158gr in a pistol 1500fps maximum design velocity.

180 gr Nosler partition in a rifle.

I also prefere the heavier bullet to the 125gr stuff simply to help stop any deflection from bone impact.

I will test a handload and the Leverevolution rounds. Thanks for all the good advice.
