Anybody know this loser? Trail camera stolen in Clark county. He didnt see the other cams. lol
The cam they (there was another dude with him, no pic) stole has a security code so I take comfort knowing he cant use it.

Based solely on his looks and dress, maybe some yabo that thinks PETA is 'righteous', "save the grubworm" and all that.

Scrawny, scratching himself, rural area... Show his photo to the local meth dealer and he'll probably have his contact info. :D

I hate that we all jumped to the hippy/tweaker stereotype...

That said, I'm sure the local PD has someone in their custody who has bought meth from the same guy as this dude.

I would start with the local police and see if they know him. If nothing there you could print and post some fliers that you are a wealthy person looking for your last living relative that you want to leave your wealth to. When and if the guy calls to set up a meet have the police standing by for the grab.

GOT HIM!!!! Thanks to the power of Facebook! One of my FB freinds knows him. He lives on the property next to mine.
Now what to do. I dont have much hope for legal action since he doesnt have the cam in hand. All Ive got is him trespassing, but even then he probably didnt pass a sign climbing the fence behind his ****ty trailer.
Option #1- knock on his door, show him pic of himself and tell him to give me the cam and Ill forget it all.
Option #2- Mail him his pic, tell him he has 3 days to put it back or I file a report.
    Option #3- file a report.

I like all 3, but alas 2 and 3 are the best, but still far from a good outcome. Possibly #1 as part of #3? If the local LEOs are down to earth maybe stop by with one of them to have a chat (pics in hand) and work it out under their supervision? "sir, it appears that you may know something about this property. Im sure its an honest mistake, right? etc" Sometimes confronting with the fear of LEO can make them fess up. Not sure I'd do a #1 without an official escort.

But yes, indeed thanks to the power of the intarwebz! It makes the world a MUUUUUCH smaller place.

I would take the picture to the local police and tell them you suspect he stole your camera since he was captured on your other camera in the same area around the time your camera went missing. If nobody else is on the camera, I would think they would at least be willing to talk to him and ask him some questions. Maybe he will fess up? If not, he will think twice before trespassing again since he now knows he is being watched and the area is monitored.

I'm not sure which model Stealth cam you have, but the G42 no glo is on Amazon for $115 currently. I have two and was just looking the other day at getting at least one more.

    Cool, you got him.
DO NOT go to his door. You don't know what you may be dealing with.
I would do #2 and #3 only AFTER discussing your plan with local LEO's and DNR. They may well have better advice on what could be a severely mentally imbalanced individual.

    Wow, less than an hour?
my only question is... If he lives right next door, why did YOU not recognize him?

Good advise. I think I will talk to the police first.
The camera was a Stealth g26. I had the security code active so he will get no use from it.

Yeah, thinking that any action needs to go through LEO first. If the guy lives up to the stereotype, stopping by might not be a good thing. If he's dumb (or desperate) enough to steal a trail cam, he's probably dumb enough to do some other things that might not have a positive outcome.

Option 4: Go slow, do your homework on the guy first, then Decide how best to deal with him. Your goal is to convince him not to go on your property any more, getting a $100 camera back, revenge or a prosecution for trespassing are not likely. Chances are your sock drawer contents are worth more then that camera so take BW's advice and physically stay away from the guy.

Hitchcock movies are great because the mind is a lot scarier place then any pictures you can show. Go slow, let him sweat. Back in 73 I saw two guys come to our door and return stolen items to my Dad. They were scared ****less of what they imagined was going to happen next. Dad didn't even know who had done it but he knew how to put the word out that he did know. Right then I understood the power of Psy Ops.

PS FB got him but he also probably knows that you know, along with 227 other people.
