This is probably closer to the truth. He would likely have enough from across the isle to withstand a filibuster. They already know the next SCOTUS appointee will be pro-life, anti-gay marriage--well, maybe Trump's sister, but that might be more of a long shot now. Anyway, what difference does it make which pro-life, anti-gay marriage SCOTUS nominee they choose, except that for THIS one, the Senate can get rid of one of the most hated Senators I've ever seen.

    Yup.

The Senate would love to dump him and put him in a position where he can be as loud as he wants without anyone really caring. Honestly, he would have a better chance at embarrassing himself from the bench than your average SCOTUS justice.

Plus, the Dems who don't like Roberts, Alito, and Thomas would love to have them stuck in a room with Teddy.

Okay, I was about to disagree, but then decided that Ruth Ginsburg isn't average. So you're good to go with that. :yesway:

Yeah, the Today Show was having spasms this morning. This nut job was critical of Obama when he resigned. Simply unacceptable.

Your wife makes you watch that show, doesn't she? When mine is home, she has one of those silly morning shows on for seemingly hours.

Mom always watched it growing up too. So I am just used to it being on. It is also a good break from FNC and the echo chamber of friends on the internet. Let's me know what the other half thinks.

Axelrod won't be a media darling if he keeps that up.

Seems like I remember him making some other strangely forthcoming comments in the past...

Axelrod probably foresees the Dems circling the drain. He likely wants to tactfully separate himself from the socialists and race baiters.
