I'm wanting to put together a ar pistol chambered in 40 S&W but not wanting to buy the rock river or Olympic completed uppers. I want a barrel length of around 10 inches. Any incite on where else I can look would be great. Thanks

Good luck. I doubt you will find many places that sell individuals parts for a 40S&W AR. 40 S&W is not that common round for an AR platform, so most places wont carry completed uppers, much less individual parts. Heck, I have been trying to find the much more common 9mm AR parts for a pistol build and those seem to be rarer than a Sasquatch sightings.

If you are dead set on that caliber, and if it were me, I would just purchase the completed upper and have the barrel cut down to length. But then again, if it were me, I wouldn't even pick that caliber for an AR.

Lol I've noticed how rare it is. I'm not dead set on it but it's my primary handgun caliber then I have 45 but it's just for my 1911 for target shooting. I didn't really want to keep getting more calibers in my collection since I reload it's less hassle. But who knows.
