That's what the country needs: thousands of high-school dropouts and perverts with guns, mace, and the color of law; a legion of malicious Barney Fifes.

Disband the TSA and let private citizens carry and stop making airports 'gun-free' zones where maniacs can stroll in and slaughter as they please with no good men to stop them.

I saw this coming the minute I heard the media reporting that the TSA agent shot at LAX was "killed in the line of duty."

    Let the militarization continue.

    I love this quote.
“What if he just went to the baggage claim?” Richmond said of the gunman. “It has to be broader than just the checkpoint. You want to have a safe place from the parking garage to the airplane.”

So the problem is just that the gun free zone isn't big enough.

Obama needs and wants an army equally armed as the military and willing to follow orders. Sounds like he found the right group.

Love how the media keeps calling them officers. They WANT to call themselves officers, but they are not law enforcement of ANY kind. The media says "They carry a badge, so they should be officers!" We can go down the LGS or go to CTD and buy ourselves a CCW or Carry badge. That doesn't make the badges the equivalent of law enforcement, and it does not give us the powers of law enforcement officers either. TSA should be disbanded. The wife and I have already discussed it, and repercussions be d*mned, if a TSA agent gives us an order, then the order will be ignored. Only orders and requests from law enforcement officers will be entertained, and those only grudgingly if legal.

Ironic how their initial reaction to being threatened is to arm up, yet when citizens want to arm up to protect themselves it is pooh-poohed.

I didn't realize the TSA was union. How exactly does that work when negotiating a contract if both sides of the negotiation are sitting on the same side of the table and both of them have their hands firmly planted in the pockets of the tax payers to fund their salaries? Do they also have the ability to go on strike? If so, what happens? Do we go back to flying without being molested at the airports while they refuse to work and demand more tax payer funded days off, or higher tax payer funded salaries?

First they arm the IRS & now the TSA is demanding to be armed. All the while, over the past five years they've been purging high ranking military officers who might happen to disagree with barking orders.

"The TSA union" is the same union that all .gov employees can join up which is the Home | AFGE (American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE)).
.gov employees CAN NOT go on strike no matter if they are in the union or not. Per their appointment as a .gov worker they do NOT have the right to strike. The AFGE has no power to bargain for salary/pay rates either. That is determined by OPM (another .gov agency) for each .gov job.

Then we should be free to go through the checkpoint armed as well and to board our plane armed. This is truly getting out of hand.
