    I use the Lyman. Most of my reloading equipment is RCBS but the Lyman tumbler is cheaper and works just fine.

    I use the Nu-Finish car polish (no ammonia) and walnut media (reptile bedding from pet store) throw a couple of old drier sheets in there to collect dust and let her run.

    Never thought of 'no ammonia'. Having read both this thread and the wet tumbling thread, I'm going to ask a dumb question...

    Why would one wet tumble vs. dry? The whole point is to clean your brass right?

    I have two Auto Flo Lyman dry tumblers. They do a great job.

    But once I went to wet tumble it changed my mind about what is the best method. Wet tumble is by far the best method to clean. The down side is that I now need to spray a little case lube even on the pistol cases to get them to run smooth. The dry tumble with nu finish leaves the cases not as clean but leaves them with a coat of polish. This lets them feed through the Dillon smoothly.

    Wet tumble, dry them and then spray a light coat of lube and load em up.
