I am looking for a turkey choke for my 1187, and I am confused on the different types. I see some saying for "high density" loads and others that say you cannot use "high density" loads. So what does this mean?

I understand that some are not for steel shot, but the high density is throwing me off.

Update - I picked up two chokes for my 1187 to try out.

    • TruGlo Gobble Stopper Xtreme
    • Primos Tight Wad

Both chokes indicate that they will shoot any loads, except steel. The Primos has .660 constriction while the TruGlo has .665.

Any thoughts or experience between the two?

Kicks High Flyer. I have one in my 1187. Shoot a lot of steel through it. #2 Rem. Hi-volocity mainly. 1750 FPS but kickers. Choke is just fine.
