I wasn't going to put that on this site. I've got a full-time moderator clamped on my posterior.

I'm going to be 50 in 6 days

Already I received my first mailing from AARP. I went to Wendy's and there was a elderly gentlemen ahead of me that received a senior citizens discount. When my turn came up the cashier jokingly said and I quote "don't worry hun, you can have a senior citizen discount too". WTF... LOL, I went along with it but damn her! LOL.

Question is, where in the heck did the last twenty years go! Kind of cool to think it won't be but another 12 to 15 years and I can retire (hopefully unless the liberals screw that up).

50, damn that's old! You'll be getting your Viagra cut into 1/6ths so you won't tinkle on your slippers.

In addition to the offer of an AARP card you get to schedule your roto rooter exam.

When the colonoscopy stops feeling wierd you is when you need to worry.

Hah, I started thinking about it when I was 50 because of all the talk and finally had one at 55. The doc asked me why I was getting one since I didn't have a history of it in my family.

When I turned 50 four years ago my birthday present to myself was a seminar with Tom Sotis, which turned out to be a great weekend. I had about 40 bruises when I was done, and was pretty much hooked on combatives. Joined the Central Texas Combatives Training Group CTCTG or CTCTG) and learned more about fightin' and rasslin' and shootin' and knifin' than the previous 50 years put together, including 22 in the military, plus met a great group of guys.

Figure something out you've been putting off, and do it. Tell your wife it is either that or the new Corvette. :):

    Happy Birthday!

In April, I'll be celebrating the 3rd anniversary of my 50th birthday. I don't really think of myself of being that old until I look in the mirror, and for a split second, I think my dad is starring back at me. Or I go to bend my knees and they don't want to do that anymore....Or I go to do something and I.......................I forgot.

I know all too much about the Ibuprofen. I drive a flatbed semi with a moffet attached (forklift). This part of the job is a breeze for the most part delivering drywall and lumber. It's on the days when the delivery box truck needs help and I get to deliver full house packages of huge refrigerators, top and front load washer & dryers, ranges and so on. Amazing the amount of people who have upstairs laundry rooms and of course downstairs. Appliance days tend to make me feel my real age.

I am Perry IV. None of the other Perry's have lived to 50 with dad being the closest at 48. I figure I'll be doing good to make it to 45 (35 now) and the rest is just gravy. That's part of why I don't want kids.......

I'm now at the age where I can still get down... I just need help getting back up!

It's funny. When I was 20, I could tell you how a 67 year old person was supposed to act. Now that I am 67, I realize I was completely wrong!
