    H.C.R. No. 54​
    CONCURRENT RESOLUTION​
    WHEREAS, The Texas Legislature respectfully notifies the
    federal government of a series of alleged boating accidents that
    occurred across Hunt, Hopkins, Van Zandt, and possibly other
    counties on January 10, 2023, which involved all private gun owners
    in these counties, and thankfully, allegedly resulted in no injury
    or loss of life; and
    WHEREAS, Due to the series of alleged boating accidents, the
    Texas Legislature also wishes to notify the federal government of
    the alleged loss of all firearms, accessories, and ammunition owned
    by all private gun owners in the counties of Hunt, Hopkins, Van
    Zandt, and possibly other counties; and
    WHEREAS, As a result of the alleged events, the Texas
    Legislature wishes to inform the federal government, the current
    presidential administration, and any future administration that
    any attempt to buyback, confiscate, or register some or all
    firearms, accessories, or ammunition from private gun owners in the
    counties of Hunt, Hopkins, Van Zandt, and possibly other counties
    will not be possible or necessary; now, therefore, be it
    RESOLVED, That the 88th Legislature of the State of Texas
    hereby notifies the federal government of the unfortunate alleged
    loss of all firearms, accessories, and ammunition of all private
    gun owners in the counties of Hunt, Hopkins, Van Zandt, and possibly
    other counties due to a series of alleged boating accidents; and, be
    it further
    RESOLVED, That the Texas House of Representatives and Senate
    submit the notification to the federal government, the current
    presidential administration, and any future administration that
    any attempt to buyback, confiscate, or register some or all
    firearms, accessories, and ammunition will not be possible or
    necessary in the counties of Hunt, Hopkins, Van Zandt, and possibly
    other counties due to this series of alleged boating accidents.

    Have you heard the classic gun owner joke of "I lost all my guns in a boating accident"?

    Far as I can tell, apparently Texans have some master trolls in their legislature.

    If it got enough support to potentially pass, I imagine they would amend it to include more/all Texas counties. It wouldn't actually "do" anything except to have potentially the entire state of Texas giving a figurative middle finger to the feds about any guns they may or may not own.

    Thanks for giving info. I have never heard that. What was posted looked like a bunch of repeated jargon.
