Reading this almost made me cry as I sit here deployed for our country, because this is the kind of direction the future we are handing to our children. Were is the backlash from our government about the sovereignty of a nation to not be taxed. We were taxed externally we put our foot down and said no. I wonder if that will happen if this passes.

I just read the article, and almost puked up my lunch. We need to get the F' out of the U.N., since it is nothing but an attempt at global government, socialism, and corruption.

The US won't sign on. There's no constituency for politicians to appeal to for votes. Those of us who are already paying taxes will say "no", and those who pay no taxes will say "no, we're ok with higher taxes, but we're not letting that money leave our government trough".

The US would not have to technically sign on since there will be a tax on transactions in the US dollar among other "Strong" currencies. This will drive people out of the dollar towards currencies that would not be taxed in this manner.

Romney said he supports global carbon taxes, as long as everyone participates. The United Nations would be the place to implement that. We're getting globalism no matter what happens in November, unfortunately.

Never gonna happen without consent of the people. I doubt that congress would approve this measure when we are borrowing to pay what we do. Why would they voluntarily give a tax to the UN. If anything, they would make a new one for themselves to get more money to spend.

It is time for the US to go ahead and leave the UN. This is why nations with no stake in the world market should never be able to run anything. They just spend our money. Not one more freaking dime!
