Arthritis has me carrying a 1903 ACP loaded with Buffalo Bore ammo but I see that Underwood is doing .32 ACP ammo now. Anyone know how the two compare. I know that Buff ammo is bad on aluminum frames but has a good self defense record. I know what I use works on coyotes. Shot Chanel looked like the lead bullet was a pool ball the way bounced around inside the yote.

I believe 55gr is too light for 32ACP. For 20 years, I've been stoking my Keltec P32 w/Fiocchi 73gr (heavy for caliber) and never had a complaint. All Fiocchi loads are hot for caliber. Gel tests put at 16.8" w/NO expansion; Exactly what you want in a mouse gun. Oh, I don't carry 32ACP for reduced recoil. Out of a 6oz. gun, it is harder to hold onto than full-house 9mm out of my P365. I carry it because it is SMALL, and LIGHT.

That little .32acp killed people a hundred years ago and humans have not evolved into armor plated animals.
Is .32acp the best self defense round? No, to be sure, but I still don't want to be shot with one.

I like what Micheal Bane says about being shot...."No one likes to leak" A .32 will make someone leak, if you do your part....I have some PMC .71 gr JHP in my p32's.....ah before the boating accident....

I can appreciate your limitations to .32. Something to consider on the Buffalo Bore, it doesn't have very good penetration in that caliber in testing. To be fair, none do really aside from Hornaday XTP. Expansion is good in a 4" barrel.

    I actually have several .32's.
For some reason that little round fascinates me.
    I have a couple of .32acp's, including a Colt 1903, a 1907 Savage, and a Bersa Thunder.
    I have a .32S&W top break, and a couple of .327 fed/mags.
I don't carry them often because I have better choices, but I wouldn't hesitate to use one of that's what I had with me when needed.
