    However I have personal reasons for wanting this specific firearm.

    At the risk of prying, I'm curious what the personal reasons are for this specific "POS." :D

    I inherited a Winchester '97 that had some mechanical issues (and of course some blemishes from being 75+ years old). Didn't want to shoot it because it just didn't feel right. Had a 'smith look at it and he cleaned it up beautifully (and confirmed it was operational). Only shot it once, but wouldn't hesitate to take it if needed.

    So, I can appreciate having a personal connection to a firearm that otherwise wouldn't have much objective value.
