purchased a used and hardly shot ar 16 inch colt ar 15 a2. Chromed free floating barrel.

Less than 500 rounds in it due to the owner having to sell it to pay some bills

when sighting it in yesterday the windage is about 30% to the left of the center mark to get it to shoot straight. Its running just fine right now.

So whats the best way to fix that? Or should I shut up for a $500 rifle. Everything on it is clean and looks new.

A real Colt AR for only 500 dollars? Who'd you knock off for that one?!:D Great find.

So you are saying the windage is 30% over to the left on the dial? (aperature over almost halfway in it's housing?)

big craig would know better, but i would check the front sight base to see if it is true. what say you, craig. also, were you shooting from a supported position, say off a bench?
