Does anyone have any good uses for empty primer package trays?

I feel wasteful every time I throw away a primer tray and cardboard sleeve, but I can't really figure out what else they could be used for.

I usually keep one around, in case I have to work with the primer feed on my press, and kick some out that can be put back later.

For me, the plastic carriers get pitched. The cardboard parts (sleeves+boxes) get cut up+placed in a can for "Crib Notes" for bags of brass-loads-etc...Bill.

This is funny. I just loaded my first rounds today and when I was throwing the primer sleeve/tray in the trash, I thought; "Could I use that for anything?"

    But I pitched it.

I keep +/- 20 empties around prior to disposing of them. I count them at disposal and add to the running totals for the loaders and guns I keep in a computer file.

They make fairly decent airsoft targets inside and air rife targets outside.

You can put them under the feet on your electronics for better ventilation. Some DirecTV DVRs breathe from the bottom and raising them up a little lowers the internal temperature. I once used an empty package as an ant trap. I put it out in the garage and poured a little sugar water in it. Those blasted little red ants flocked to it. A quick shot of bug spray a few days later and thousands of little lives were instantly ended.

    Near the big river.
The only real use I have found is loading large steel shot shells, size "F" shot. I plugged all but 68 holes with epoxy. Meters the shot well. Loading 0 gauge 3-1/2" shells.

I keep a few of them around my loading table. They are useful (bottom up) for holding screws and other small parts when I am working on a gun.
