I'm not worried about doing well. I'm more worried about having fun.

if you come to terre haute, (rhino, bigcraig and i will be there) and we'll help you load mags if you want to shoot production. i'll be shooting limited or open. we can help you through the match. looking forward to seeing you both. don't forget snacks and fluids. and extra ammo.

..snip...We were doing 15-18 tournaments per year and traveling all over the place. Mostly around Indiana, but also to Ohio, Illinois, Pensylvania, etc.

You can take your gun to IL to shoot? thought IL required a permit to have/own a gun? Interested as I'm fixen to visit my brother in WI and need to travel through IL to get there.

Sorry, yeah. Sorry I wasn't clearer, but I was focusing on the tournament addiction factor, not what the tournaments were actually for.

I got over my addiction to karate tournaments pretty easily. I got tired of getting kicked in the head and other more delicate places. I was at one almost every weekend in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and shooting matches are a lot more fun. Getting c***-punched at a USPSA match is somewhat uncommon.

Although, there were a lot more chicks at karate tournaments . . .
