It was an informative class. Gary, the trainer, is a real pro and a good trainer. I liked how he stood up to Coach in the beginning when Coach was about to go ape about standing on top of the boundary. Instead of getting wrapped up in opinion, Gary stated the rules that contradict each other and then gave his opinion. Out is out, in is in and standing on the boundary is standing on the boundary. Gary said it is important to be consistent about that match, and not what is perceived to be right which is up for a long discussion. That really defused the situation. Of course there were no real points to make or cars to win. It only made it obvious we need some areas of the rule book improved.

Thanks to Steve and Dan, much appreciated.

The best part was watching coach and Dan shoot. Couldn't shoot that stage clean to save their life and got to blame in on "trying to mess up so you can practice RO'ing."

You like how he was stating his opinion was correct without rule to support it,

I shot it clean during the class more than once.

I wanted to make it up yesterday but had to many other obligations going on.
The classes that nroi put on all across the country are very good. The Range Master Instructors do a very good job of presenting and holding these classes. The RMI position is an unpaid role that these guys take their time to travel and hold the courses.
The best part about the classes are that there are 35 people now that can take and maintain their certification, grab a timer and feel more confident when RO'ing a competitor. You will gain more confidence and your ability to apply the rules the more you take the role of RO at the club and Sanction Match level.
