Vehicle Handgun Mount

There was a posting awhile back concerning the best way to carry in a vehicle. I saw this in American Handgunner and found it interesting. It's just the mount, you supply the holster.

If it was used only while I was drive and the firearm went with me everytime I left the car, it wouldn't be a bad idea. Don't think it would be something I'd want to use for a gun I'm going to leave in the car as a back up.

Seems like, depending on the vehicle, accessing the gun would be a PITA, and bringing it to bear without lasering yourself, even moreso.

Make sure there is no airbag there. Some vehicles have a knee airbag under the steering column. You don't want you gun to become a projectile if you get in a accident.
