Just like Germany in the 40"s took a wheel barrel full of paper money to just buy a loaf of bread. Yes precious metals are the thing to invest in and great home security to protect it!!

Argentina is the product of the leadership. They elected to have this man of the people. They are just reaping what they have sown its not like that's a booming region. and with oil so low the few that are petrol producers are hurting. they need to find something.

So I didn't see anywhere in that article that mentioned how much silver it took to purchase a sandwich. Funny, it's almost as if people aren't set up to sell goods in exchange for precious metals. Though I think it's a wise idea to diversify your investments, I honestly don't see gold/silver being worth more than the gum on the bottom of my shoe in a prolonged SHTF event. It doesn't do anything besides look pretty for 95% of practical applications. Yes, I realize that gold is used in cellphones, etc., but I honestly can't think of any other use I'd have for it in my day to day life.

Something else not mentioned in the "keep gold and silver" talk is counterfeiting. Do people have any way of knowing what is actually gold and silver and not a look-alike? I know there are ways to chemically test for it, but how would you go about it on a large scale for day to day dealings?

Surely there must be something I'm missing here.

If you read FerFal, generally, you sell gold or silver for fiat currency then quickly buy what you need before the inflation kicks in. There will always be places willing to make a buck from buying PMs and you can bet they have the stuff to test gold and silver.

Getting everyone to put their money in the bank is brilliant. They can freeze the banks assets and secure the wealth for the governments use. But sadly they will blow threw that too. What's to become of that hell hole? Who knows, it will most likely take a civil war for them to figure itnall out.

And to think there are/were liberal politicians and actor's etc that touted that place as a success in socialism just a few years back. It was to be the way of the future and a new roll model for us to follow. I give them a big FU.
