Trying to find some better, solid sources on this... But this is ultimately how Socialism works, and our media isn't interested in covering it.

    Interesting article here:

Are We Nearing a Breaking Point in Venezuela? | Cato @ Liberty

No, the shooting is being done by the Cubans. There's are several news reports on this in Spanish.

I'll get them for anyone who is fluent.

Really? No affiliation to the gov? Didn't see that... but two large marches, "One from the opposition, and the other organized by the government taking to the streets..." might change that. Sounds like it's about to get bad.

The Venezuelan gov that the American Left loves is arresting opposition leaders. It's quite fitting.

In the Ukraine, police are moving in on opposition camps right now.

Lucky here, we just get audited if we're the opposition... for now.

Here's a video compilation of the protests up through Feb 14th. Things are intensifying since then. Protesters being teargassed by the military. Rally leaders being targeted for arrest.

It's so weird how the American Left isn't standing in solidarity with the Venezuelan protesters.

Well, look at this way: if the people chanting "This is what a police state looks like" want to be intellectually honest, we know where they can go.
