I have, for sale, some original WWII US Navy 20mm Oerlikon inert dummy rounds. All of these that I have seen so far are dated 1943 on the base. Dates on the fuses and projectiles range from 1941 to 1943 that I've seen so far. I've also seen a couple of different manufacturers on the base and a variety of different markings on the projectiles. Most will have some tarnishing that cleans up well with a little vinegar and light steel wool. The paint on the projectile also comes off very easily with acetone if you wish to do so. I have attached few pictures showing three of the nastiest rounds that I cleaned up with the vinegar and steel wool treatment. The last picture shows some of the markings on the projectile underneath the paint. They are complete with their original cardboard shipping tubes. Price is $10 each.
