My LGS has a Walther PPX 9mm with a threaded barrel for sale. I have heard some good things about Walther but I personally don't know much about them. What are your thoughts on this pistol?

I have to mention the price is $325. I have no idea if this is a good price or not.

That's a pretty good price, but I personally don't care for the PPX in comparison to Walther's other pistols like the PPQ, PPS and CCP. And apparently I'm not alone; the PPX is no longer in production, which is probably the reason for that price in the first place.

I don't know why Walther even has the PPX. Most gun shops can't give them away.
    giant ugly bloated looking thing.

the PPQ is a much much better gun

PPX might be ok for a range toy and maybe a good host for a supressor, but I've never looked into it.

I have a PPQ and love it. The PPX looks like Walther tried to make a Hi Point. Heck, it might be a good pistol, I really don't know. But they don't sell that well.

Is your gripe with the PPX:

    1. aesthetic
    2. ergonomic
    3. all of the above
    4. other

Are we talking S&W Sigma level of stinky or just not as good as the PPQ, et al?

If that's true, and the really are out of production already, that's one hell of a statement for how bad that thing did. It just debuted really recently.

The PPQ is so cheap for what you get that I wouldn't even consider a PPX. Save the couple hundred extra and get the real deal. The PPQ is effing fantastic.

They're on sale right now at Rural King, if you have a store nearby.

Yeah, they look weird, but mine fits well in my paw and it's a good shooter.

I got a good deal on one a couple years ago and hold it side by side with the hk vp9 the angles and everything are right in line and the trigger is actually really nice but that's just my 2c from someone who owned one for a while
