Has anyone ever used a trust for non NFA items?

Sorry if this is a stupid question (I don't understand trusts all that well), but what else beyond NFA items would you put in the trust, and why?

I put all of my firearms stuff in the trust so that in case I were to die tomorrow, there would be no debate as to who I would like my firearms to go to.
