I also carry a leatherman....along with a 4 1/2" locking folding knife. It is a chinese ripoff of a german blade, but it's comfortable and would definitely pierce flesh. On special occasions, I carry a 5 1/2" sheathed Kelgin. Beautiful blade, just too nice for everday carry.

I never leave the house without my handgun. Also never leave without two or three knives as well. The knives are not necessarily for personal protection only, they are used daily for various reasons. I have a couple Kershaw folders that are always with me and several other various folders that I sometimes add to the pockets in rotation. You can always use a nice knife!

I have one of the Kershaw spring-assisted Leeks. Amazon.com used to have the best price when they were selling it directly.

I carry a mid sized leatherman because it is considered a "tool" by my employer rather than a weapon. My employer prohibits weapons, even though I could easily do more damage with a 12" screwdriver than than the little 3" blades I've seen people get fired for. I do use the leatherman constantly as a tool and I love it, but it would be nice to carry something more suited to SD.

I carry my Cold Steel gunsite2. Great knife. I also carry a very small Gerber with a 2 inch blade and sometimes I will also carry a Kershaw Blur. Sounds like a lot, but with my work I have different uses for all 3 knives. If I am not working though I just carry the cold steel.

Picked this puppy up for $9 from Smokey Mountain Knife Works. Had it on my person every day now for about 6 months. Not a bad knife at all, for the piddly chump change I paid for it.

Just can't carry an expensive knife. I'm too prone to lending it out/leaving it somewhere/losing it. :(

Barrelmaker_2002, I just noticed your signature. I own a Glock 26 and an iMac and a MacBookPro. My wife has an iMac and MacBook. I commend you on your wise choice of equipment!:yesway:

I used to carry a Swiss Army 24/7, but I have lost them in Jakarta, Ulan Bator, Beijing, Medan, and Hong Kong—keep forgeting to put them in the checked baggage before entering security.:ugh: I still have one in the drawer that I am afraid to carry because I do not want to lose it. I think I will check out your Schrade model. I think I can afford to risk that much.
