Why would you change your carry gun because it's cold outside?

Alot of guys go to plastic guns in cold weather because your tongue won't stick to a Polymer frame gun like it will to a steel frame gun when you clean it at the end of a range session......

I hear plastic guns will shatter when it's cold out.

Not if you switch to the winter blend, which by the way, costs more than the summer blend, which by the way costs more than the winter blend! Oh, we're not talking about gasoline now are we?

My input would be to find a rig you can carry year-round. Consistency is your friend. Inconsistency is a recipe for flubbing up under pressure.

I EDC a Glock of some flavor everyday. As it gets cooler, the caliber gets bigger simply because I can conceal a bigger gun easier and my favorite is my G21.
    Summer carry = G23 or 26 as a primary with a G42 as a BUG.
Winter carry = G21 or 30 as a primary with the G42 as a BUG.

idk, my carry pistol has changed several times over the last few years so I enjoy these threads every now and then.

My current carry gun is a M&P SHIELD 9 with Trijicon HD sights and a Apex carry trigger kit. I've carried it for about 6 to 7 months now.
