    Westfield
My wife and I live in a new development in Westfield. The area around us is still rather rural and the houses across the street were just annexed as part of Westfield. One of the houses has a shooting range. He was obviously able to shoot without issue prior to being annexed (and did all the time) but what happens now that he was forced into city limits?

Someone in the neighborhood asked about this, and I didn't really have an answer. I tried to do some research and came across an article where Marion County wanted to ban shooting in the outlying areas but did not because it would be in violation of the preemption law. What does Indiana law say about having a range at your home? Is this guy SOL because Westfield decided they wanted the tax revenue?

He will need to check city ordinance. Pretty sure he's screwed since most, if not all, cities frown on shooting inside city limits.
