Then buy a kel tec and get over it. Seriously, the buyer determines the value of the item being sold, stop being pissed that you can't buy a Glock for $200...
I don't know what the big deal is with owning a Glock. I have looked and held one and wasn't impressed by them at all. I have bought a few guns the past few months but the last one I bought,Ruger SR45,has been the one I like most, especially for $475 out the door new. Gander sells the same SR45 for $80 more then I paid for mine.I rarely go there if I can find the same somewhere else cheaper since they are overpriced on everything
You shouldn't have to give a used pistol away because you shot 50 rounds out of it. You just saved the buyer $20 in "break in" ammo. Honestly, I don't think $450 for a barely used glock is that high. Most are willing to negotiate.

I am not expecting to get one for $200. However when I have a $800 new retail price gun up for trade, and people get their panties in a wad about me wanting another $250 ontop of their glock that retails for $560 that's just stupid. they are BOTH used guns. but somehow their glock appreciates and my gun depreciates exponentially lol. I know this goes along with everyone wanting to get the best deal in their favor, but out of all the offers ive gotten, people with $300 shotguns realize they have to add appropriate funds to get a more expensive gun, but every single glock owner who has offered me trade wants to just trade straight up, and when I politely and nicely say that they will have to add some cash with their glock for my gun, they loose their fing minds.
and yes, I am probably going to have to just go ahead and buy a new one. since logic has no bearing on used glock prices... (and then ill put it up for sale for more than a new one haha)

Anybody else notice the double dose of irony in this post?
First he complains about the price of used firearms while admitting that everybody with whom he has negotiated has made it clear that his asking price is higher than they are willing to pay. Pot calling the Glock black.
Second, he's complaining of Glock owners while admitting he is going to become one.
Is this for your beat to hell looking Colt 1991? My Glock 17 has about 300 in it on top of the price of the base gun. I wouldn't give you more than 700 (and that's pushing it) for a Colt 1991 in the shape yours looks to be in. That's not me getting my panties in a wad, that's me having a value on my property, and agreeing or disagreeing with the value you put on yours. Welcome to America, that's how we do.
As has been said, if you don't like the prices people are offering you, go buy a new one or trade your Colt into a LGS. But please, stop crying because you don't like the way the other kids are playing with you. But doing what you're doing is not productive, and could be considered downright rude.
Stereotyping a (very large) group of people for the behavior of a few? And you are exhibiting the same behavior yourself? Sounds like you would be right at home working for Diane Feinstein or Carolyn McCarthy.
Did you explain the $300 work you had into it? Additions and custom work isn't something you can always count on recouping when you sell.
Sometimes I get the feeling that some people don't actually read past the title.I have two Glocks. I also have a Beretta 92, a Ruger GP 100 and a Smith 642. At some point or another I've carried each one of them. I was first drawn to the 19 because of it's relative small size and a 15 round magazine vs my 92 and it's 15 round magazine. I shoot both equally well so to be it was a no brainer. Carry the 19-lighter weight plus 16 rounds ready to rock.
I'm not reading anything into it, but i do think you've missed the glaringly obvious: It apparently isn't worth that $800 if nobody is offering that much for it.I think what he said made sense. He has a weapon worth roughly $800. People are wanting to trade a weapon worth $560 for it even up, he asks for some cash ($250) to balance things out and they flip. Maybe you are reading something into this that I have missed?
