Cool deal with Mausers, I have never seen a 22 trainer.

I need to find someone who is crafty with wood. Need to get a Remington M1903A3 rear sling swivel installed onto that wood stock.

You're planning a stock refinish to the dark flat oil finish aren't you?

The 03A3 butt swivel in just mounted with 2 screws. That should be a no-brainer as long as you pre-drill the holes to avoid cracking.

Well the base has to be inletted into the stock.

Restored, the only thing that bugs me is I couldn't get the replacement forend off the slide they were on. So I couldn't reinstall the original slide. Still feels just as good though.
