The first handgun I bought all on my own was a Glock 19, which I guess was a Gen II? I didn't do a lot of research before I bought it, but I was pretty disappointed, because it came with the 10 round restricted magazines. I guess that was still during the "Clinton ban" era in the early 2000s.

The first handgun given to me was a S&W model 19 with nickel plate and wooden grips. I did some research on the serial number and it looks like it was a 1967 production. Just looking at it, you'd never think it was a day over 5 years old.

My first handgun was a Taurus Millenium ss 40 caliber. I didnt like the trigger pull or the accuracy so i traded it for the SA XD 40 5' service revolver. I love it great shooter, nice trigger pull but in 49 more posts on this awesome site i will put it up for sale and buy the Glock G26. I shot one today and was bullseye on first clip & fell in more lust then love. Im ready to go back to a sub and from reading here i think 9mm is the way to go.

Smith and Wesson 910 9mm. Paid less than 300 bucks for it. I think it was around 1999. I never told my parents I bought it. They would have flipped the efff out if they had known. Lol!!!

My introduction to a handgun was a S&W 38 special I bought for personal protection after I graduated from college. Still have it.
Didn't know what I missing out on in terms of shooting fun with the semi-automatics until 20 some years later. Now my favorite handgun is my S&W M&P 9mm compact.

A little Jennings pocket .22 that had the serial number filed off. It jammed a lot and was very likely stolen.

As soon as I could buy a real gun, I ditched it.

I still have my Jennings .22. I call it the Stovepipe Special because 8 out of 10 empties end up sticking straight up out of the action.

It was my first gun, so I'll never sell it. Although I might be tempted to trade it for something of equal value, like a large pizza.

First hand gun was mod 29-2 Smith .44 mag. Gun, holster, two sets of grips, and about 100 rds for $250. And it was my first carrying piece too.
