A friend and I were talking about this and I was telling him that I saw 12rd mags for my M&P 22lr pistol selling for $150 on gunbroker during the height of the panic buying. He was mentioning some other examples of what he saw price wise, so I thought I'd bring it up on here as a topic to discuss. Now that magazine prices are returning back to a normal/great price point I was trying to remember the nightmare prices we'd just gone through.

I just remember the M&P 22lr mag pricing very well because I had just bought mine back in Dec '12 and didn't get a second magazine for it for months on end and when I did it was twice what they're going for today.

Hard to imagine $7,400 for a case of pmags, but I thought I remembered seeing the pmags selling for around $100 each and that'd only be $74 per mag.

This is the kind of thing we were talking about I just plain couldn't remember other than the one type of mag I needed at the time. We were both trying to remember what the 10-22 BX-25 mags were selling for, but we couldn't.

I saw BX-25 mags at Hirschys for $69 each!! Seen them on line pushing $80.
Now they are back below $30 all over the place. Glad I didn't panic on those,

I think they were 60 round mags for the AR. I saw them at a gun show, they were asking $300 each, they had two.

During the height of the panic, I ran across 6 NIB 50 round Galil mags and the guy I purchased them from was happy as a clam to get $60/piece for them. I put them on Gunbroker and a doctor purchased all of them for $275/piece and he was also happy as a clam because he hadn't seen any NIB for 15 years he said. So, all three of us were happy - especially me since my $360 turned into $1,650!

Still kicking myself for not dumping P-mags like crazy when the prices were up there... ammo I was ok with selling (it can be replaced) normal cap mags can't be replaced if a ban goes into effect. I had ~60 NIP P-mags I held onto too long and when I finally decided to sell I didn't get much profit out of them...
