If I had $1500, and could only use it on a pistol, it would NOT be a 9mm.

    I'm curious, why?

I'd probably go with Glock 19 & Glock 26, or 2 19's, and mags, ammo, holster(s). Redundancy at all levels, and standardized.

Now, that would be my choice, but I already have that covered.

A good question was raised above, what purpose are you looking to fulfill?

    If I had $1500 burning a hole in my pocket that was destined to eat 9mm, I would buy a G26, a G19, and a G34.

    Right idea,....wrong manufacturer. I'd go S&W oldschool,.....

    S&W 5946.....full size stainless frame double-stack
    S&W 5943.....full size alloy frame double-stack
    S&W 6946.....compact alloy frame double-stack
    S&W 3953.....compact alloy frame single-stack

All 9mm, all stainless, all DAO, all excellent condition used for $1500 easy. I've done it except that I'm still missing the 5943(although I've more than doubled up on the rest). Heavy and light range/truck/HD and hi-cap/low-cap SD all covered with MUCH parts and mag commonality. Manual of arms as simple as can be,......point and shoot with superb triggers.

Top 3 that Insee in this thread:

    1: Cajun CZ 75
2: Browning High Power ( or a Cajun CZ 75)
    3: P226 ( or a Cajun CZ 75)

Any of these would be good. Or you could just get a Cajun CZ 75.

Hard to choose. Sig, CZ, S&W, SA, Browning, Glock, HK, lots of good choices out there depending on personal preferences.

On second thought, I think I'd go with a new Sig P320. Then pick up a couple new slides and barrels in different caliber's and you'd be set.

For $1500, you could find a decent P08 Luger. Life's too short to restrict yourself to only owning cookie cutter production guns. Sometimes it's nice to buy interesting stuff too.

Depends. Do I get to keep the guns I have now? In other words are we looking at $1500 for play money. Or are you asking how to spend $1500 in a practical manner?

Right now $1500 of fun money would buy me a 9mm pistol with a Sig brace. I also think those Wilson Combat Berettas are pretty cool. I am a huge 9mm 1911 fan but that is a no go for the OP. So I would say a Sig p226 Elite SAO. A Browning Hi Power would be another for fun gun.

If were getting into handguns I would start with a Walther PPQ, Glock 17/19, or M&P. Then add a shield or PPS or G26. Rest of the money could go towards mags, belt, ammo, etc.

I guess I just read it as a single handgun purchase. IMO, no single 9mm is worth that much.
