After the tragedy in Aurora Colorado, Democrats (Obama regime, and news outlets) are going to force dramatic legislation. What do you think of this?

I would just vote against those that support it of course....like a good little lamb. Then, I would just do whatever they told me to do.

Obama will wait to do anything on guns till after the election . I do not think a ban needs to happen but I do see a ban maybe coming on clips that hold more [STRIKE]then[/STRIKE] than 10 rounds.

    GODDAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's funny how people clamor for an "assault weapons ban" in the wake of these things, like somehow a gun without a flash hider or bayonet lug or collapsible stock would be less deadly. Even with California's AWB, which is more strict than the 94-04 federal ban, it wouldn't have stopped the shooter from using this same type of weapon.

BTW, somebody may want to inform these jackasses that assault is a verb and firearms are inanimate objects.

If you do they may just laugh. The word assault is also a noun and nouns may be used as adjectives.

    World English Dictionary
assault (əˈsɔːlt) — n 1. a violent attack, either physical or verbal 2. law battery Compare assault and battery an intentional or reckless act that causes another person to expect to be subjected to immediate and unlawful violence 3. a. the culmination of a military attack, in which fighting takes place at close quarters b. ( as modifier ): assault troops 4. rape or attempted rape — vb 5. to make an assault upon 6. to rape or attempt to rape
It is not considered a verb until the 5th definition.
The 3rd definition example is really spot on for this discussion.

Maybe not but they do have that awesome "bullet button" requirement to slow down mag changes. :n00b:

I'm not talking about the same exact superficial ban that we had in 94. I'm talking about 10 round limit in rifle magazines, maybe bullet buttons, maybe 10 round limits in EVERY gun. How would this affect you, and how could you argue that you need more than 10 rounds? I'm asking because I know liberals, and they are going to take this battle to us. Better be prepared with intelligent arguments, or lose our rights...

Just tell them you'll respond with an intelligent reply as soon as they make an intelligent proposition? :dunno:

The liberals seem strangely cowed right now, perhaps they used up all their 'outrage capital' on the Trayvon Martin case (which didn't turn out to be the perfect storm they had hoped for).

Overheard at church this morning "they said he bought 7000 rounds of ammunition, how is that even legal?" I just kept my mouth shut and chose not to argue with the liberal. I was wrestling the two year old to keep her from acting like a two year old when i heard from the same guy say "how can they call Obama a socialist, he's to the right of Reagan" This guy teaches at Ivy tech. I would like to drop him off in Gary or up at Lafayette scare mall and see how he feels about the right of personal protection then.

Next the media will claim anyone with more than $10,000 in the bank is a kulak.

I don't think Obama will touch this topic in an election year. What do I think of it? Not much, since I got all of my "scary gun and magazine" purchases out of the way last year/ early this year; and the next President (republican or democrat; or if any sanity prevails something else) will strike it down.
I seriously doubt it would be a "gun" ban, but I can totally see a magazine capacity restriction passing in the near future.

Don't forget the UN and Dictator Obama's push on passing it there. (So that neither he or the party get the blame) He did say he would sign the (Illegal) treaty. You know they want to get rid of our guns/gun rights.

Also, too many in the Senate signed the letter to the WH stating that they would not support a UN treaty. So, he would probably just sign another "Executive Order" passing the UN treaty (gun ban, etc.)
