I can see why people might consider Kel-Tec’s cheap. They look the part and are mostly very low priced, but is that correct image? I have had zero performance issues with my Sub 2000 and that is running both high quality and cheap junk ammo in either Glock G22 OME or KCI extended mags.

I know people that have owned PF3AT and PF9 pistols with great performance and surprising accuracy.

I am not suggesting anyone should ditch their Glock or XD for a Kel-Tec, but how many of these over-dramatic negative reviews are from actual real-world experience?

After having HAD one, I'd pay nothing now. I paid about $279 brand new several years ago and found the gun to be very unreliable. Typically atleast one malfunction per magazine. This time around I spent a bit more and got a much higher quality Beretta CX4 Storm carbine and couldn't be happier. Orion Arms in Jeffersonville has them (or is expecting them any day now) for around $650.
