The Zebra 701 will be with the standard stationary/office supplies. Wal-Mart has then too.

Edit: Not recommending these, btw, just pointing you in the direction to find them in the store.

I looked into reviews of that pen and figured I would grab a couple until I learned that the guts are plastic and people are only getting about a month out of them, check out amazon, not good...

I carry Zebra 301's. Almost always have one at the neck line now.

They are stainless shell, but sweat will ruin the spring. I use it for writing on rare occasions. It is more for quick deployment in a stabby type situation.

I tend to lose or give away pens now, so I don't want some high dollar punch thru a 2x4 type item.

I will look into the 701's to see if they might last a little longer. Especially if refills are cheap.

Interesting. I've had mine for 2 years now and use it all the time.

I just took your suggestion and checked Amazon. This pen gets 4.6/5 stars.

A standard AAA maglight might be worth looking into unless you absolutely need the ink. Not many people look twice at a flashlight

I have settled on a Boker Urban Survival knife to join my pen and flashlight in my shirt pocket.

I can strike with it closed and, if time permits, open it for a cutting edge.

I statrted this process after watching the video in this thread https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo...se/372430-bystander-tackles-mwag-walmart.html and speculating what I could have done in that situation.

But that's not a pen at all, it would also be banned from a plane.
