where is a good place to buy a Remington 700?

Most, if not all, gun shops can order you a new 700 in whichever caliber you want and whichever model you want. The wait is usually only 1 day which is probably what it's going to take you to find the one you want in stock somewhere anyways.

If you were looking for used I'd suggest calling around, but since you want new ordering would be the way to go.

I would say pick out your specific model(SPS, ADL, etc...) and caliber (.223, .308, etc..) and head to the LGS.

There are so many variations they probably wont have one of all of them in stock, but should be able to order whatever you want.
