Now that I can hunt with my Encore as a rifle instead of a muzzle loader, I would like to find a 24" stainless .308 barrel. Anyone know where to get one? I'm not sure if I want a Pro Hunter 28" barrel which I can find. I'm thinking shorter and lighter. My 20" Howa heavy barrel is a shooter, but pretty hefty. I plan on sticking with .308 since I already load for it.

Check edstc.com. He has a little bit of everything T/C. Don't waste your time emailing, just call him and check his inventory. I have bought 20+ MGM barrels from him in the last few years and saved a bunch over ordering from MGM direct.

I've always had good luck on Ebay for barrels . I'm sure they have some new ones on there now . If you want used to save a little $ , I usually just save a search and get email alerts when new items are listed .

I checked with Eds contenders and no luck. eBay only has ProHunter barrels. MGM might be my next call... But man they are proud of their stuff.

    As a T/C collector-----my opinion is

If you want a barrel marked Thompson Center for your collection----cool

If you want a SUPER ACCURATE barrel--go with MGM
