Who produces a metal framed single stack 40. I know the springfield EMP and the interarms star m40. Are there any other manufactures that produce such a firearm.
    Thanks for the Help,
    Matt

cz makes a few, older smith and wessons like the 40xx series (used), beretta 96.

STI makes several 1911's in .40 as does para ordnance ($$$)....also tanfoglio witness series, and some others I cant think of right now.

    God bless

If you can find a Smith and Wesson 4040PD, that'd be my choice, and a gun that's pretty high on my wish list.

EDIT: the 4040pd isn't a steel frame. it's Aluminum/Scandium. Just wanted to be clear.

I highly recommend the CZ 75 compact. I am very happy with mine it is accurate, reliable, feels amazing and looks great. I could talk about this pistol all day. If you are in the Indy area drop me a pm and I will let you handle it.

Beretta... Jericho... S&W... Guys, the OP is looking for a steel frame SINGLE-STACK pistol! :ugh:

Kahr K40, Star M40 if you can find one, or one of the 1911-style .40s are about all that comes to mind. Pretty much everything else is either double-stack or has an alloy or polymer frame.

Why are do you want a steel frame, specifically?
