Kurt Hoffman, (the St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner) takes a look at the CDC's recommendations for the zombie apocalypse and notes a severe shortage of guns for defence. Of course, none of the governments preparedness sites cite guns as a prep, either. Shoot, FEMA won't even let you enter their sites armed, unless you're an "only one". Best to ignore their list, I think and have a sack of guns ready.

Since FEMA can't really speak to each state's, city's, town's, county's, municipality's ordinances on firearms, I see why they just left it out. It would be nice to at least include self-defense in their "preps" list, even if they don't mention firearms.

I'm just happy they've started to switch from "let us take care of you" to "be responsible for yourself".

Well I have tried to stock up on my whiskey but the supply always seems to be shrinking. I keep buying and it keeps disappearing. :dunno: What a dilemma.

i HAVE THE same problem with Rum and Tequila..... not sure what the deal is. My mouth seems to have a hole somewhere. ;)

I agree about the self defense but they didn't mention weapons at all. Surely it is legal to own a baseball bat, a healthy sized shovel or a fire axe in Commiville... They were specific enough to tell you how much water per person.

Then again, the authorities would just have to go door to door taking your weapons like they did after Katrina. If they were smart they would tell us to stockpile what supplies they need to confiscate.

    Fair warning:

When the zombie apocolypse comes, I'm not planning to discriminate between zombies and civil servants. So, dead eyes and blood dripping from your mouth or just ill-fitting short sleeved white shirts and ties tied too short, high water polyester and cheap shoes, you're all going down. Rule 2: Double tap.

    Just sayin'.

Call me naive, but I assumed that including "firearms" in a list of that nature was like having to say you would include marshmallows at a camp fire. Noone says it out loud but everyone brings a few bags of of fluffy white joy.

    IMHO; accidental omission.

in favor of beer and wine, if the zombie apocalypse happens, the water supply will almost assuredly be contaminated. can't contaminate something thats already bottled :):

and as to why guns aren't on the list, its obviously a sign that the gov't has planned a ZA and they don't want anyone running around with guns. also, what if the zombies are smart enough to use guns?
