People seem to be dying plenty in good ol Indiana, most on the roads.........by drunk or texting drivers.
But by golly, the big ol cities are just deathtraps if they don't let one carry a blaster 24/7.

Being stupid ups the risks (anywhere).

Don't be stupid, just be cool and pay attention.
That right there will make most coyotes seek easier prey elsewhere.

I don't have the awesome photos HoughMade has, but here are a few from my trip out east. I'm glad I took the opportunity to go.

    Nice!

Here are a couple of my pics from Boston last year of the 54th Massachusetts monument. This is on Boston Common right across the street from the Massachusetts state house:

And as for Brooklyn, I haven't been there in a while, but the area near the East River and a few blocks in is really interesting and fun.

In the past year I have been to New York, Boston, Wash. D.C., London, Brussels, and Paris. In spite of my best efforts to commit suicide by city, I ended up having a good time in all of them. I'm heading to New Orleans next month and going to hang around the National WWII Museum, figure that's sure to do me in.

I'm LEOSA qualified and there is no doubt in my mind that places like New York, New Jersey and Illinois will not honor my qualification. There is nothing in any of those places that I need to see.
What makes you say that? NYPD especially are known for their old fashioned sense of brotherhood when it comes to out of town LEO's. Chicago PD too, very LEO friendly. I'm in NJ often but I've never really sat down and chatted with a Jersey City officer when I'm there.

Plan on two days in the museum. It is unbelievable. Take a walk to the east of the quarter and enjoy the market.

Maybe this would be of interest.

Comparing deaths in a county by homicide per 100,000 of population, we find some interesting things.

    New York state:

    New York County (Manhattan)- 3
    Kings County (Brooklyn)- 6
    Queens County (Queens)- 3

    Indiana:

    Allen- 9
    St. Joseph- 7
    Scott- 6
    Washington- 6
    Elkhart- 5
    Decatur- 5
    Delaware- 5
    Howard- 5
    Vanderburgh- 5
    Wayne- 5
    Vigo- 5
    Clark- 4
    LaPorte- 4
    Madison- 3
Porter (my own county- same as Manhattan)- 3
Lake (where I sit right now)- 15
    Marion- 15

Not when you look at violent crime instead of murder. While it is not in the top, it has almost double the national average(585/311 per 100K) according to this article.
    https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/most-dangerous-cities-in-the-united-states.html

Indy does get the honor of being #10 on the list though at 1,288 per 100K

Indy's crime rate doesn't bother me. If you don't hang in certain circles the chances of you becoming a victim of violent crime is very low. Similar circumstances in NYC likely.

Big boy rules. You have to decide. Don’t get pulled over, don’t consent to search, CONCEAL ALWAYS(that means dress around your edc, and not the other way around), DON’T do stupid things, in stupid places, at stupid hours, with stupid people, and you can go about your day as if nobody knew you were carrying. Intestinal fortitude isn’t for everyone, but I myself, know that even if I go to prison for defending my family, it was better than the alternative. Rules, laws, signs, are for the sheep to stand in line for slaughter. IANAL, didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn, and don’t even play a doctor on TV, I live my life as a pirate asking permission from no one. If I’m caught, it will make national news!

    I agree entirely.

I follow the constitution, and I will leave it at that.
