I've been tooling with the idea of getting the Winchester Model 70 75th Anniversary Edition. Looks like I may be able to pick up a new one for around $1600. Retail is $2000.
My questions is, would something like this hold its value? Even if its used for target? Or would someone who buys a gun like this, never shoot it?
I am thinking of getting a Model 70, and wondered if it would be worth getting the Model 70 75th. It looks like it comes with a better grade walnut stock. And I was looking for something that I could buy, shoot, and take care of, and eventually pass down to keep it in the family.
I'm all for special editions with other stuff. But wasn't sure if I would be crazy to buy a gun that costs almost double what a standard one would cost. I'm not too familiar with special edition firearms. But I like quality items, and I take good care of all my possessions. And figured this would be a good gun to keep in the family if it was well maintained.
