For those of you who may be jumping to conclusions...
I am not a socialist.
I don't want your guns.
I don't want the government to take my guns.
I don't vote for people who want the government to take my guns. (Speaking of which, WRT this year's General Election, have all of you either voted or are you planning to vote? I have.)
I don't have any genius ideas about what an acceptable gun control compromise might look like. I do know that gun control will probably continue to be a "hot button" item in U.S. politics...on both sides of the debate. IOW, the gun control lobby isn't going to go away.
And, for the mods, it was not my intent to "troll" this thread. Sorry for the disruption.
Now, back to counting bullets.
I'm merely curious what you mean by "compromise." In a compromise both sides give a little to get a little. The only compromise on gun control is that we have been giving and receiving nothing.
