XD Mod 2

Has any one seen the XD MOD 2 in any lgs? Also do any of you know the prices, or the MSRP for it?

It wasn't local but while traveling I seen one at a shop for $499.

I handled the XD Subcompact at PSS last weekend. I wish I'd looked to see what the price was. I didn't care for the new "grip zone" lettering on the handle, but I did like the purchase with the newly scalloped rear slide serrations, and my old eyes really liked the fiber optic front sight (ala XD-s front sight).

IIRC, it's only the subcompact that has been released as the new "Mod 2" at this point.

Kind of what I'm thinking as well. I'm not in the market for this gun, but if I were, a strip of grip tape would cover it right up.
