I have a full-size XDM 9mm - one of my favorite range guns. The 5.25 competition is coming out and I can absolutely rationalize adding it to my collection; has anyone handled one yet? I've never done a trade with a dealer before; in your experience, am I better off selling the XDM9 outright?

LGS has a few of them. I't feels the same as my xdm45 only thinner. I did notice that it does have an adjustable rear sight and they cut out the top part of the slide kinda like the glocks. I guess to save weight. For me personally...meh. I don't shoot competitively.

You will always get more for your money selling your gun to another person without going through a dealer. They have to make their $$ somehow so they can't give you the full market value, but weigh that against the ability to trade it right now and have what you want right now opposed to waiting for something else to sell to get the funds together.

After checking out the video of Hickok45 shooting with one... I've got to admit that it was pretty solid. I don't shoot competitively - but the thought of being on the wrong end of that thing in the hands of someone who knows how to use it is pretty scary.
