XDs Range Report

I bought my XDs last Sunday at Indy Gun Safety and finally made it to the range today.
Rounds fired:
50 rds CCI Blazer Brass 230 gr FMJ
150 rds Reloads - Rainier 230 gr RN / 4.6 gr Titegroup
6 rds Speer 230 gr Gold Dots ($$$)

Malfunctions:
1 failure to feed - reload with a malformed bullet

Experience:
Recoil very manageable. 206 rds fired with no residual soreness in hand.
Trigger finger a little sore from a sharp edge on the trigger safety.

Accuracy:
Decent, but not great. Shots were taken at 5 and 10 yards. Groupings were about 5-6 inches. Probably shooter error. I have 7 round magazines on the way and suspect that having someplace for my little finger will improve accuracy.

I've got a couple hundred through mine so far with no failures, and at 50' I can now group 4-5" which is acceptable to me. I love mine!

Right now I only have the five round mags, but I have a couple of 7s on the way.

I use the 5 round mags with Pearce grip extensions. They helped accuracy quite a bit.

Received my 2 extra 5 round mags, 2, 7 round mags and the 2 finger extensions last week. Have about 300 rounds through, including 50 handloads today, and have not had a single hiccup of any kind so far. Awesome little handgun.
