    Meh, people only do that junk (lifting the wipers) because someone saw someone do it in the 1980s, so now everyone is doing it.

    Just leave them down, and when you get to your car, shake it off a bit while you're brushing the windows and top off.
    If you shake your wipers more than twice you're playing with 'em... ;)

    Waiting for the alarms to go off:):..
    Saw a joker going e on us30, was managing to do 60 with about a 6" peephole to see through on the windshield. Must not have lifted his wipers before the snow/ice---or have a scraper---or a heater--or time..

    Wipers in the 'up' position generally mean people don't want to completely clean of their windshield before they leave. I start the car, get out clean off the snow and use my snow brush/scraper to un-stick the wipers.

    I submit to you that people who leave their wipers up are what's wrong with this country!
